| The Grand Basset Griffon Vendeen is a medium sized, strong, short-legged hound, with a harsh coat and a lively temperament. The Grand Basset has a passion for the hunt on rabbits, hare, deer and wild boar, is active, spirited, quick and self-willed. The Grand Basset is also friendly, loyal and fond of company. A true buddy for young and old.
Every now and then, we breed a litter from conscious combinations. The pups grow up at home and are therefore well prepared for the wide world. Our 14 months old dog Seigneur Ollie les Precieux d'Aunes became during his first entrance in the show ring at the World Winner Dog Show in Amsterdam, Youth Winner 2002, Youth World Winner 2002, and Reserve Champion. With these results, he is only 2 points away from his Dutch Championship. His litter sisters Sahza Belle en Sauvage Sarah les Precieux d'Aunes, also their first appearance in the show ring, became 2nd and 3rd in Junior Class. |
