Raisin’L Dachshunds

Mary Pyle, 2840 West Avenue M, Palmdale, 93551, CA, United States (us)

Raisin’L Dachshunds was founded in 1977. We started out with Standard Longhairs from Bayard/Han-Jo lines and Rose Farms, and recently added an English import linebred on the great Eng. Ch. Imber Hot Coffee.

In 1990 we branched into Miniature Longhairs with Taunuswald dogs bred into some of our small Standards then adding English Imports (who happened to be shaded cream in color). Our future in Miniatures includes dapples, creams, and cream-dapples. BUT color is not a big consideration: quality, health, & temperament are far more important. A good dog can’t be a bad color, but color should never excuse faults.

Raisin’L Dachshunds are known for their soundness and temperament, and do well in the show ring, field & den work, and the obedience ring. A well known Breeder-Judge paid us a treasured compliment, that we «breed to the standard, not just to win». Winning IS fun, we’re about to finish our 20th homebred champion (she needs 1 point), but we’re just as proud of our kids in companion homes.

We have Show dogs of our breeding in England, Italy, & Japan
